Back to Bt. Panjang

I'm back after 2 weeks this time round. Haha wanna know why I didn't update last weekend? The reason was simple. I had Saturday guard duty in camp. Meaning I get to book out with the rest at 5pm on friday, but had to book back in at 10pm the same night. After sleeping overnight, I had to report for guard mounting and started prowling rounds at 8am. Saturday guard duty is the worst guard duty to have because it's a 24-hour shift thing. Hence, my entire Saturday was gone plus I had to spend 2 extra weekend nights sleeping in camp... I missed my comfy bed last week =( Lol. Anyway I got to book out Sunday morning 9am but had to book back in with the rest at 930pm -_- Since I was too tired out I didn't manage to spend time to update my blog for the past weekend.

2 weeks ago before I had to go back to bukit panjang camp, I bought Beethoven Virus DVD for $19.90. I didn't really ask my family whether they were interested to watch, but I just went ahead to get it anyway. Eventually, they kinda liked the korean drama. So when I'm in camp these past few days, they took some time and watched ahead of me... huh huh... haha. Yea I also find the story very tense with turning points here and there... typical drama tactics Haha. I'm glad we like it. As of today, we've watched up to episode 5. I guess this will help keep me entertained during my weekend off days =)

It's been 2 weeks back at the home of 5 SIR since I graduated from SAF driver training centre. In summary, training's been rather slack so far. My battalion has been busy with NDP and such, but us scouts will not be participating in the event. Most of our time is spent relaxing in bunk (won in a game of monopoly by having $100,120 in my possession!!) or helping move stores when needed. Last week, there was also Tiger Trail, an event put up by 3rd Singapore Division. I had to run 10km for that morning Haha. Woke up 3am, started running around 630am at jurong camp/safti. The turning point for the run was freaking crazy. We had to run up a knoll codenamed 'elephant hill'. The slope was more than 45 deg inclined! I just gave up and walked up instead of jogging Haha. Coming down was faster, but had to be more careful. The ground was gravel and stones, one wrong footing and I would have been sent tumbling down the hill Lol. It was very satisfying after completing the 10km fun run. Although my knees sort of ache after the run, it was still ok. Got to have complimentary red bull, milo truck, hot soya bean drink and a piece of banana! Hahaha. 10km is no easy feat... Was really shacked throughout. But I'm really glad I persevered by running almost all the way (walked up the silly hill >.<). A job well done. I also have to thank a friend of mine who was my running buddy that day =) oh yea... got to see ben at the event as well haha!

I just came back from a wedding dinner at Crowne Plaza @ Changi Airport. We were celebrating the marriage of another of my cousin. She's the last one in her family to get married. My brother's wire sculpture strawberry was being decorated with flower trimmings and ribbons to be used as the ring bearer for the occasion. Early in the morning, the couple came to my place along with their friends for the tradition of the groom having to break thru the challenges the girls have set in order to reach the bride. The girls put up some really difficult competition for the guys. The groom and his friends had to retrieve balloons from the swimming pool, had to walk around the pool wearing high heels, eat some random concoctions of vegetable mixture, do some push ups and PT, before successfully reaching my cousin. I didn't get to see much of the action cos I was actually sleeping LOL. Too early in the morning for me to wake up hahaha. But managed to get some idea about what happened from a video screened during the dinner about that morning's ordeal =P

Nothing much else to be said already. This coming week's training is gonna be more tough. I have a feeling that it'll be so... Gonna have fast marches in fbo and possibly have to go outfield most of the week. All I have to do is to press on thru the challenges =)

Btw, congrats to joseph and lucas for being posted to SISPEC!
