What to do? What to do?

It's been another week full of driving, driving and more driving. Their training is intensive, not like outside learning from commercial instructors. Every single day, I have theory lessons, I have 100mins of public road driving, and some time for parking. Some evenings are occupied cos I have to go for simulator training. Yea it seems fun at first.... I think some of you would also enjoy going for the driving course here haha. But after the 2 weeks of training there so far, I feel very mentally exhausted. I have to quickly pick up a new skill in under a month. Not only do I have to drive well.... But I have to be extremely alert to situations all around posing potential dangers to me on the public road. I think I can safely tell you that I'm already good with driving the jeep around. Give me an empty road without an instructor beside me and I can execute all the courses without committing any major fault. I've come to realise, once you have other road users, once you have an instructor beside you ready to hound you on any fault committed, learning to drive is exhausting and stressful. Constant mirror checks, looking out for road hazards, beware of pedestrians and vehicles dashing out from side roads, do not race engine, beware of motorcyclists squeezing in out of nowhere.... and so much more to take note of! WOW! And as an SAF driver... I have to learn to be a defensive driver (meaning ZERO accidents on the road). Safety is the main priority. All this accumulates into one BIG multi-task which I have to execute in a split second on the road. I'm still having problems every time I go out on the road. Hopefully my confidence will increase subsequently, I want to pass my test the first time round...

Ok enough about driving. I attended an Information sharing @ high tea by NTU MAE (school of mechanical and aerospace engineering) on saturday afternoon. It was after driving in the morning (can't they give me a break? urgh...). I got to know more about the aerospace course. No doubt it's more specialised... maybe a bit too specialised. But if my passion is for that field of aerospace, why not? I'll be more equipped from NTU than if I go mechanical engineering in NUS. So I guess I can conclude for myself that I will choose NTU aerospace course over NUS mechanical engineering course. However, I've not accepted any of them because I have an impression that most of my friends are going to NUS. In a way, I may feel left out and more lonely studying in NTU. So... I'll wait a while more before making a final decision =)

Celebrated my grandma's birthday on saturday evening. Haha it's good to get to see family relatives again besides chinese new year. Got to talk a bit with my other cousins and other parents. Most of them asking me about NS and uni application lol... expected.

The things that are most bothering me now are driving and uni acceptance... what can I do to improve my driving and not get nagged by my instructor? What shall I choose? I hope this coming week will be a better and brighter one Haha...
